Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Ward Conference Held On Sunday, Get New Officers Ward Conference was held Sunday night with the following stake visitors present: Mr. and Williams, Mont Poulsen, Mrs. Mrs. Orvil Stone, Mr. and Mrs. j Rowley, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne I Hansen. The following were released: Scott Lusty, as ward clerk; Charlie Bird, as Y.M.M.I.A. su-i perintendent; Charles Jensen, as ' Sunday School superintendent. I Those who were sustained were: I Clarence Horrocks, ward clerk; 1 Y.M.M.I.A. officers,. Scott Lusty, James Larsen, Legrand Gilbert, and Steel Lusty, secretary; Sunday Sun-day School, Leon Ross. Gayle Gilbert, Thomas Larsen and Donna Ross, secretary. Charlie Bird, as Senior Aaronic priesthood priest-hood adviser. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Richens and daughter spent the weekend week-end in Salt Lake City, returning return-ing Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans went to Salt Lake, Thursday to attend the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Wendle Evans. Mrs. Rose Gilbert received 1 word, Saturday, of the death of her brother-in-law,- "Ole" Peterson, of Myton. The Petersons Peter-sons made their home here for a number of years, while Mr. Peterson was ditch rider. The community extends sincere sympathy sym-pathy to the family. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, Deon, Delaine and Mildred Bird, Norma Larsen, Ernie Keller and Don Hicken attended a mission-1 ary farewell party at Artamont' Saturday night for Miss Eldora Clark, Mr. Bird's cousin. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert Gil-bert are driving a new Oldsmo-bile. Oldsmo-bile. They motored ttf Provo Friday, where they got Naomi and Gayle, then to Gunnison, where they visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Peterson. Peter-son. Hyrum Capson and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Steffensen, of Salt Lake City, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Capson, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Zirker and - sons, of Mescalero, New Mexico, arrived Sunday to spend a few days at the home of Mrs. Zirker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields. The Zirkers are on their way to Ephrata, Washington to accept a new position po-sition as county agent. Mrs. Gladys Ross visited Tuesday "at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orlene Labrum, in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel and daughter, Dianne, spent a few days with Mrs. Peel's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, Sunday, Sun-day, were Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Solmonson, of Roosevelt; Mrs. Clair Duncan and children, of Neola. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen are moving into the Lynn Fairbanks Fair-banks place. Mr.' and Mrs. Howard Gilbert entertained at dinner Sunday, for Norma Larsen, Ernie Keller, Mildred Bird and Don HicXen. |
