Show Duchesne High To Graduate 24 On F.lay nineteenth Tuesday, May 19, has been set aside for twenty-four senior students at Duchesne High School to receive their diplomas as evidence of having successfully success-fully filled the requirements for graduation, is an announcement made by Walter M. Reimchissel, principal. According to Mr. Reimchissel the commencement exercises will be held in the school auditorium audi-torium at 8 p.m. with the theme of the 1953 graduation being, "Building The Future On Yesterday's Yes-terday's Ideals and Principles." Students will present the greater part of the program, which will be as follows: Welcome Wel-come address, Doyle Harris; invocation, in-vocation, Nita Collett; class history, his-tory, Karen Carman; "Panaora-ma "Panaora-ma of Democracy," with Nancy Lott, Clive Moon and Thora Wright, narrators; comments and songs by class members. Mr. Reimchissel will present the graduating class and B. A. Jacoby, resident board member, will award the diplomas. Supt. Dean C. Christensen will address add-ress the graduates; a farewell song will be sung by the senior class, and Norman Abbott will give the benediction. Four students will be especially especial-ly recognized as honor students. They -are, Karen Carman, Clive Moon, Thora Wright and Nancy Lott. Class officers are Doyle Har-j ris, president; Wilma Mary Wil-1 Hams, vice-president; Helen Brady, Bra-dy, secretary. The graduation committee includes Richard W. Powell, Clive Moon, Karen Carman, Car-man, Thora Wright and Walter T. Williams, senior class adviser. Following are the students who will finish their high school work at Duchesne High School on May 22: John Norman Abbott, Ab-bott, Udell A. Birch, Helen Brady, Bra-dy, Karen Carman, Nita Collett, Venoy Davies, Doyle A. Harris, Emmett N. Hayes, Deloy Ivie, Gerry L. Ivie, Curt Dewaine Kofford, Lillian Jane Liddell. Nancy Ann Lott, Steven Kipp Merkley, Lee R. Mezenen, Clive Dee Moon, Arlene Mountain, Rex F. Pearson, Richard William Wil-liam Powell, James M. Rice, Erl DeWayne Simpson, William P. Stokes, Wilma Mary Williams and Thora Wright. |
