Show Kennecott Copper, Western Division Barnes Adamson, Buchanan fublk delations Directors For Co. Adamson, Buchanan oi Associates, Asso-ciates, Salt Lake City public relations and advertising firm, has been appointed public relations re-lations director for the Western Mining Divisions of Kennecott Copper Corp., J. P. Caulfield, general manager of the divisions has announced. For the past three years the firm has acted as public relations rela-tions consultant for the Utah Copper Division. Mr. Caulfield said that under the new arrangement, arrange-ment, Adamson, Buchanan will establish, direct and coordinate public relations activities in Kennecott's four divisions. Properties Pro-perties outside of Utah are: Nevada Mines Division, Chino Mines Division (New Mexico) and Ray Mines Division( Arizona). Ari-zona). Adamson, Buchanan and As sociates was founded by William S. Adamson and Howard M. Buchanan Bu-chanan in 1950. Prior to that the partners were associated with Axelsen Advertising Agency, Ag-ency, Inc., Salt Lake City. Mr. Buchanan started his ad-vertising ad-vertising career in San Fran- cisco and Los Angeles where he was a radio writer. For three years he was promotion man-i ager of radio station KNAK. Mr. Adamson is a former managing editor of the Salt Lake Telegram and city editor of the Salt Lake Tribune. At I one time he was co-publisher of j the Lehi Free Press and he lat-i er was on the publicity, exploi tation and advertising staff ofi Merto-Goldwyn-Mayer studios in Culver City, Calif.
