Show Uintah County To Set Dates For Bond Election Members of the publicity committees com-mittees for the proposed new Uintah High School and city-county city-county buildings met recently in the City Council room to complete plans for the release of information regarding the coming bond election. A tentative date for the election elec-tion was adopted for recommendation recommen-dation to the city council the county commission and the school board. Although the election will be held jointly, there will necessarily neces-sarily be three ballots. Citizens of Vernal City will vote as to whether they wish io join the county in buliding a combined hourt Jiouse and city-county office building; the citizens of the county will vote as to whether wheth-er or not they wish to bond the county for the erection of a new court house, and a separate ballot will be required so that the people may express their wishes in regard to the construction con-struction of a new senior high school. Plans call for announcement of election date with pertinent information regarding estimated cost of the buildings, the tax outlook and ' statements from city, county and school officials regarding the proposed projects. Articles will be sent to the newspapers regularly thereafter giving information and answering answer-ing questions. Anyone having any questions regarding either building project is invited to send them to Chuck Henderson or Dr. T. H. Seager. - Plans are also being made to provide speakers on the build ing projects for any club, civic or other group requesting such service. Dr. Seager will accept appoitments regarding school information in-formation and Mr. Henderson regarding the city-county building. build-ing. Radio time will also be available avail-able through the courtesy of KJAM for discussion of the building programs. Questions pertinent to them may also be directed to KJAM. |
