Show Interest In Fair On Nigh Level; Committees Report If the present enthusiasm continues con-tinues through the summer and on into the early fall, Duchesne County should have the most outstanding fair in its history. At a monthly meeting, Monday, of the fair board and committee heads, held in the court house at Duchesne, reports indicate the county is uniting toward a successful program. According to Dean C. Christensen Chris-tensen and Wesley R. Dicker-son, Dicker-son, co-chairmen of the 1953 fair, practically all the major committee assignments have been made and meetings held by them which indicate they are making early plans to see that their assignments will be filled with dispatch and efficiency. Tentative plans call for the Miss Duchesne County contest to be staged on Thursday evening, eve-ning, followed by a semi-formal dance. Friday will be consumed with judging of the many displays, dis-plays, with a style and fashion revue for the afternoon and a fight .card for the night attraction. attrac-tion. A grand parade and kids' sports will take care of day-time activities on Saturday, with a big Wild West show and rodeo for the final night. It's possible dancing will be held each night. The next meeting will be held on the first Monday in June, with meetings to be held the first Monday of each month thereafter, unless special meetings meet-ings are called by the co-chairmen. |
