Show Onion High Band To Present Concert As Concluding Music Feature; Public Invited On Wednesday, May 13 Union High School's music students will climax an activity-packed activity-packed school year Wednesday, May 13, with a Spring Concert in Union gymnasium, saM Clyde Johnson, music director. The concert featuring the school's mixed and girls' choruses chorus-es and the 50-piece band, is set for 8 p.m. The public is invited to attend the free concert. The event will be the first public concert in Roosevelt featuring fea-turing the band in their colorful color-ful new uniforms. The suits were received only three weeks ago, Mr. Johnson said. A varied program will feature fea-ture the 90 voices in the mixed chorus and the 60-voice girls' chorus. The band is scheduled to' play Grofe's "On the Trail," from Grand Canyon Suite. Several marches and overtures will complete com-plete the program. The band marched in new uniforms uni-forms at both the Uintah Basin Days and Region Five Music Festivals during the past two weekends, receiving Excellent ratings at both events. One of the most completely outfitted musical groups in the Basin, the marching band is led by a troupe of twirlers, standard stand-ard bearers, drum major and majorette, all in complete uniform. uni-form.
