Show EUJl Mrs. Garda Seeley Party Honors Missionary To South America A welcome home party was held on Wednesday evening honoring hon-oring Elder Reed Anderson, who recently returned home from serving a 2V2 years mission in Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The following program was given: trio, Garda Seeley, Laura Seeley Seel-ey and Betty Lou Goodrich; jokes, Jennie Goodrich; duet, Maxine and Shanna Lee Winkler; Wink-ler; a skit "And the Lamp Went Out," JoAnn Goodrich, Marilyn Jennings, Pauline Winkler, El-oyce El-oyce Atwood, Cherryl Remington, Reming-ton, . Billie Lisonbee; reading', Lois Goodrich. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing. Mrs. Vivian Powell returned to her home here after spending two weeks in Idaho with her daughter, Mrs. Maurine Smith and family, while Maurine underwent un-derwent an operation. She also visited in Salt Lake City before coming home. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Goodrich Good-rich and two children, of Hel- per, spent the weekend here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Monte Williams and two boys, of Logan, visited on Saturday and Sunday with relatives here. Among the Altamont students attending the Regional Band Festival at Price on Friday and Saturday were Colleen Roberts, Dal Seeley and Billie Lisonbee. Mr. and Mrs. Waldarmar Neil-son Neil-son and daughter, Jolene, spent the weekend in Salt Lake City, visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Bird and baby and Billie Lisonbee spent one day in Salt Lake City last week. PRIMARY CONFERENCE Primary Conference was held on Sunday evening. The theme was, "We Have Reason to Rejoice," Re-joice," with Marilyn Jennings as narrator. Bernice Atwood was the teacher. Thirty-five children participated. The following stake officers and families were present: Mr. and Mrs. Max Hart-man Hart-man and family, of Mt. Emmons: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Oman and Mrs. L. Oman, of Boneta. Mrs. Agnes Larsen left on Sunday afternoon for Salt Lake City to be with her mother, Mrs. Mary Kenison, who will undergo a major operation. Beth and Udell Winkler and Danny Gallego, whom are attending at-tending school at the B.Y.U. in Provo, spent the weekend at home, here. |
