Show Local play fans getting tickets tick-ets for the stage play, "Top Banana," at the Capitol Theatre Tuesday night were, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Malin, Dr. and Mrs. Paul Stringham and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett. Some of the group remained to witness a tennis tournmanet Wednesday. Mr. Schmiett left Salt Lake for Provo, Wednesday morning to attend a school meeting. Mrs. J. Harold Eldredge returned re-turned home last Thursday after af-ter visiting in California since March 17. She spent most of the time in Los Angeles, and also visited in San Francisco and Berkeley enroute home. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitt were business visitors in Salt Lake City, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Birch and three children, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Halen. Additional dinner guests at their home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Axel Birch. Mrs. Robert Huish left early Monday morning by plane from Salt Lake City to attend funeral services for her brother-in-law, Robert Gross, who was killed while working on a construction construc-tion job. His home is in Savannah, Savan-nah, Missouri. Mr. Huish drove his wife to Salt Lake City to board the plane. Mrs. R. S. Jordan and Mrs. Axel Birch spent a day shopping in Salt Lake City this week. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lunt on the arrival of their new son, Marcus. He was born April 17 at the Vernal Hospital and is the pride and joy of his parents and his two brothers and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Haddock, of Rifle, Colorado, were guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Haddock. They stopped enroute to San Francisco, Calif., where he will be stationed after af-ter re-enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He has served in the Navy for ten years. Mrs. George Bacon returned Monday after visiting the past week in Salt Lake City with her two daughters, Mrs. Jack Bess and Mrs. Don Whatcott, and families. Her son. Jack, who is in the Navy Air Corps, reported back to his base at Moffett Field, Calif. Mayor and Mrs. J. V. McLea returned Sunday after spending a week in Los Angeles on a combined business and pleasure trip. They plan to leave this weekend for further business matters. Marie Sutton is opening a convalescent home in Vernal, which will accomodate several elderly people and invalids. She states that it is large and sunny and has an attraotive landscaped yard.
