Show Doris P. Morrill Final Rites Held For S. Anderson Funeral services were held for Steven Anderson, April 25, at the Tridell ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Anderson, who died in Price, April 19, at 3:30 p.m., was born July 25, 1879 in Jersey City, New Jer- sey. He married Mary Elizabeth Boren, who preceeded him in death, Nov. 27, 1930. He is the father of 13 children, 9 of them are still living. He has 39 living liv-ing grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. The Anderson family lived in Tridell, Uintah County, from 1911 to the winter of 1930, then moved to Price, y where he has lived until a month before his death, when he moved to Maes-er. Maes-er. Mr. Anderson had gone to Price to finish moving his belongings be-longings when he died. He married Ida Mae Cloward, Oct. 7, 1952. She survives him. He worked in Vernal years ago as a cook in Vernal restaurants. The funeral services were conducted by Loren McKee, of the bishopric. Bishop Darrell Goodrich offered the opening prayer. Speakers were Ellis Morrill, Parley H. Goodrich and Clyde Merkley. A ward chorus sang "Sometime We'll Understand," Under-stand," and "Shall We Meet Beyond the River." A duet "Going "Go-ing Home," was sung by Mr. and Mrs. Rex Taylor. Bishop H. LeRoy Morrill dedicated the grave. Interment was at the Tridell Tri-dell Cemetery under the direction direc-tion of the Wallace Mortuary of Price. Pallbearers were: Lyle Atwood, At-wood, Ray Rust, Bob Norton, Nick Jenkins, Eldreth Brandt and West Thomas. Relatives .who attended the services from out of town were: Mrs. Steven Anderson, Price; two' sons, Milton Anderson and daughter, Barbara, of Altonah; and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Anderson, Ander-son, of Lark; two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Basil Atwood, Lyle and Patty, of Salt Lake City; and Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Hall, of Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. Olie Olsen, Price; Mrs. Lucy Boren, Price; Mrs. Lola Edrington, of Riverton, Wyoming; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rust, Murray; Mr. and Mrs. Bod Norton, Lark; Mr. and Mrs. Eldreth Brandt, Roosevelt; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Taylor, La-point; La-point; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Jen-kins, Lapoint; Mr. and Mrs. Wes Thomas and Nick Jenkins, of Price. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Ross and daughter, Elaine, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gardner and children, of Sandy, Utah, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Cook and children, of Roosevelt, were Sunday visitors vis-itors last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Iven Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Marian Harvey are the parents of a baby girl, born Saturday, May 2, in the Roosevelt Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bow-den Bow-den and Mrs. Dennis Goodrich, of Salt Lake City, visited Thursday Thurs-day and Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rae Goodrich and family. Mrs. Garth Ross and son, of Vernal, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Laren Ross. Mrs. Mabel Haub and Mrs. Doris Morrill went to Vernal Friday with a group of school children tq, put on a radio program pro-gram over station KJAM. Mrs. Darrell Goodrich and sons, Kay and Dean, were weekend week-end visitors in Salt Lake City. Max Warren and Morgan Glines were Tridell visitors on Sunday. The MIA, under the direction of drama leaders, Ethel and Ellen El-len Goodrich, presented a program pro-gram Wednesday evening of two one-act plays and special numbers. num-bers. The plays were "Jacob Hamlin Friend of the Indians," and "Opened By Mistake." The special numbers were a piano solo, Marta Morrill; reading, Tess Lemon; a vocal duet, Ilia Rhae and Vivian McConkie. Mr. and Mrs. Blayne Morrill and son, Stewart, were Salt Lake City visitors Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Winfred Long and family fam-ily visited Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Blayne Morrill. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Morrill and Dellis Morrill were Vernal visitors, Monday.. |
