Show Committee Sets Date For Basin Scout Meet Rowan C. Stutz, Duchesne District Dis-trict Commissioner, was appointed appoint-ed chairman of a 9-man committee commit-tee to work out details for a 6-day 6-day Uintah Basin Summer Camp for all Scouts and Explorers of the Basin, June 27 to July 2. Over 400 Scouts and Explorers are expected to participate in the largest Scout camp ever staged in the Uintah Basin. Details will be sent to unit leaders following a meeting of the Basin Camp committee com-mittee Saturday, May 7, in Roosevelt. Roose-velt. The decision to have a 6-day summer camp here in the Basin came as the result of a special meeting held last Sunday in Roosevelt Roose-velt for District chairmen, Camping Camp-ing and Activities chairmen, and Commissioners of the Four Uin- tah Basin Scout districts. j Present at the meeting presided over by Field Scout Extcutive Ru-lon Ru-lon Dean Skinner, were: Elvin Barker, Duchesne District chairman; chair-man; Rowan C. Stutz, Duchesne District Commissioner; Gilbert Horrocks, Duchesne Camping and Activities chairman; Ned Fairbanks, Fair-banks, Duchesne District Advance-men Advance-men chairman; and Dr. John Smith, Duchesne Health and Safety Safe-ty chairman. Representing Roosevelt District were: James E. Bacon, District chairman, and George Hacking, District commissioner. Uintah District representatives included: A. Alwyn Call, District chairman; LaRell Anderson, Camping Camp-ing and Activities chairman; and Blaine Moore, District commissioner. |
