Show Five Directors To Be Elected By Roosevelt C. C. Five new directors will be chosen chos-en from among the following ten members of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce who were chosen by a nominating committee, headed by Dr. Paul G. Stringham, as chairman: Lawrence L. Pack, Donald Truman, Tru-man, Evans Phillips, Mrs. Florence Rockwood, Mrs. Eugene Harmston, Leland Stevenson, Clair Larsen, George Miller, Kenneth Morgan, and Dr. R. Vernon Larson. Ballots will be mailed to members mem-bers of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce by Mrs. Irene K. Rupple, executive secretary, within the next few days. They must be returned re-turned by May 14, which is the Saturday preceding the next meeting meet-ing of the board of directors on Tuesday, May 17. At the last semi-monthly meeting meet-ing of the Chamber which was presided pre-sided over by W. S. (Bill) Mur-dock, Mur-dock, a report was made that the two road signs being constructed by the Joe Norton Sign Co., were nearly completed and the one on the south entrance of the city had been erected. A bottleneck has arisen on the east entrance sign the ground previously reported available for the sign has been withdrawn. Thus the Chamber has a sign and no place to erect it. The Tourist Promotion and Publicity Pub-licity committee has been asked to work with Mr. Norton in securing se-curing another site for the sign. Mr. Murdock announced that Ron Harrison, manager of the Moon Lake Electric Assn. had accepted ac-cepted the invitation to be the main speaker at the annual meeting meet-ing of the Chamber in June, and that members of the board of directors di-rectors of Moon Lake would be guests of the organization. New officers will be introduced at that meeting. |
