Show Two USAC Library Aids Assist In Local Projects In keeping with Extension activities acti-vities during National Home Demonstration Dem-onstration Week, the Extension Service has obtained the assistance assist-ance of Mrs. Anne Smith and Russel Davis, of the Utah State Agricultural College library staff, announced Mary Lois Reichert, home demonstration agent. Mrs. Smith and Mr. Davis spent Monday Mon-day and Tuesday working in Duchesne Du-chesne County in assisting public and school librarians with various phases of their work. They met with Mrs. Blanche Murphy, Union High School librarian, and spent the early afternoon at the Union High. From the high school, they went to the Roosevelt City Public Library, where they were met by Mayor Paul Murphy and Dwain E. Buchanan, chairman of the City Librard Board. Mrs. Smith and Mr. Davis made several suggestions sugges-tions which will be carried out by the board. On Tuesday, Mrs. Smith and Mr. Davis accompanied Arietta Williams, Elementary Supervisor in visiting the libraries at Roosevelt Roose-velt Junior High, Altamont and Duchesne High Schools. They also attended a meeting of the County Library committee in order to give further help on the tentative plans for a mobile county library. This is one of the many Exten- sion activities being carried on throughout the nation during the week of May 1-7, which has been proclaimed National Home Demonstration Demon-stration Agent Week. The theme as accepted by the group is "Today's "To-day's Home Builds Tomorrow's World." This is a good time in which to become acquainted with your home demonstration agent. In Duchesne County she is Mary Lois Reichert and her office is located in the Frandsen Building in Roosevelt. Stop in and get acquainted ac-quainted with her. |
