Show "flature Boy" Is Home From Vinter !n Hills By Elden R. Wilcken Wells "Nature Boy" Robertson, 53, in good health and high spirits has returned to town after 3l2 months alone in an isolated mountain moun-tain cabin. Mr. Robertson, long haired and bearded prospector, returned to civilization recently from a long winter spent in the wilds of Rock Creek. He has been alone from Jan. 1 until April 1, when Gilbert Horrocks, of the Duchesne office, Soil Conservation Service, visited him on a routine snow survey, breaking through the snow with a snow cat. I He had stayed at a cabin on the dude ranch owned by Arnold Rob-bins, Rob-bins, and acted as caretaker while there, to clear trash from the spillways of the trout ponds, to prevent broken dikes. Mr. Robbins had stocked food in the cabin for use by Robertson during his long winter withdrawal from civilization. Robbins gave instructions in-structions to set out red flags if aid was needed, so they might be seen from the air. Robbins would fly over occasionally to see if the flags were out. Robertson came out of the canyon can-yon about April 18. He has never married and says he has lived most of his life alone, so wasn't particularly lonely. During the summer he is a guide, packing sportsmen into the High Uintas. |
