Show FATMaaHOMEto UTAH STATE EXTENSION SERVICB By Mary Lois Reichert Home Demonstration Agent Since May 1-7 has been proclaimed pro-claimed National Home Demonstration Demon-stration Agent Week, I thought perhaps you would be interested in hearing just a little bit about the work of your Home Agent. Working in this field, I repre- . sent the Utah State Agricultural College, the U. S. Department of Agriculture, and the Board of County Commissioners in their cooperative co-operative programs of education for better living. Through my work here in Duchesne County, I work with individuals and volunteer leaders in carrying on adult and 4-H Club work. I am happy to be able to cooperate with any civic, religious, professional, social, educational, ed-ucational, and farm group in helping help-ing them to promote programs and projects for better family living, resulting in improved community life. I Some of you are aware of the demonstrations which we have held in the county on casseroles, nutrition, color, meat, salad making, mak-ing, and many other phases of homemaking. As a county Home Demonstration Demonstra-tion Agent, my work is carried on through . radio, training meetings, demonstrations, radio programs, which we have weekly at 7 a.m. every Friday morning, through news articles such as this, letters, home visits, bulletins, etc. We, of the Extension Service, are interested in you and your family. Your family benefits through your cooperation with the Extension Service, because you can learn more about : food, time management, money management, housing, family relations and clothing. My work is done mainly through organizations and I would be very glad to come and meet with you and your civic or religious organization organ-ization in helping you in any way. As most of you know, my office is located in the Frandsen Building Build-ing in Roosevelt. Our working hours are from 9 a.m - 5 p.m. on week days and 9 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Saturday. I would be very happy to see and visit with i; you when you drop in. Let's remember re-member the theme for the Home 1 Agent Week: "Today's Home f Builds Tomorrow's World." We, of the Extension Service, are help-, help-, ing to build a better world for - your family today and tomorrow by improving family living at home and in the community through with adult and 4-H Club groups. |
