Show Well Drilled For Altamont Town The Altamont well came in last Tuesday, July 6. The work was done by the Zimmerman Drilling Co. The Altamont town water project is to be completed complet-ed within 70 days after it is started and the- bid for the job was $22,169.00. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Crosby and daughter, of Salt Lake, were out for the weekend to visit relatives and go fishing. Mr. and Mrs. LaFarge Das-trup Das-trup and Mrs. Joe Perkins went to Ogden to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dastrup for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wellington and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pease and family, all of Salt Lake, were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. George D. Harper. While here, the families enjoyed en-joyed an outing at Moon Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Floid Hart-man Hart-man and family spent Monday at the Neola Rodeo with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Marsing. ON FISHING TRIP Last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hislop took some boys up to the high lakes for camping camp-ing and fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Hislop returned Monday, but the boys, David Hislop, Douglas Doug-las Miles Jon Rogers and George Chapman, will remain for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fieldsted, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Jessen and their families had an outing on the Yellowstone last Sunday. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Grant TTanspn were Mrs. A. W. Sadler, Mrs. Ted Dahl and son, and Ronald Anderson and Sheldon Hansen. FIRE DESTROYS HOME ' A fire of undetermined origin destroyed the Heber Timothy home last Monday night, which was recently purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Nielsen, of Salt Lake. The house and furnishings were completely destroyed. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Baxter and family returned home Friday, Fri-day, after spending 10 days in St. Anthony, Idaho with Mrs. Baxter's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Kolb and family enjoyed a picnic and outing at Farm Creek, Sunday, with Mr. and Mrs. Friedel Lang and family. Mr. Lang has been conducting some anthropological anthropologi-cal studies in this area. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hart-man Hart-man and family were in Mt. Emmons last weekend visiting relatives. Mr. Hartman is in charge of a Sprouse-Reitz store in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen and children were in Mt. Emmons Em-mons Sunday, visiting with their folks. Floid Hartman took his son and nephew, Harlan and Laird, for an overnight camping and fishing trip at the high lakes last week. Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Iorg and family and Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Rust and family spent the weekend camping at Swift Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Crosby and Mrs. Bovee Mecham and family went to' Neola, Sunday, to see Mr. and Mrs. Dale Crozier. Grant Drollinger went on an overnight fishing trip to Crow Canyon last Monday and Tuesday Tues-day with Wallace and Dal Seel-ey. Seel-ey. Mrs. Carl Allen and boys were in Mt. Emmons Sunday, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Less Orr. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Perkins went to Grantsville and Leeton last weekend to see Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Beebe and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lucas. TO LIVE IN CALIFORNIA Mrs. Joe Perkins plans to leave July 16 for Long Beach. Mr. Perkins is working as an electrical engineer for the Douglas Doug-las Aircraft Company. They plan to make their home there. Mrs. Floid Hartman reports that her brother, Max Anderson, Ander-son, left for Japan, July 6th. Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant' Hansen last week were Lee Hansen and children, Mrs. A. W. Sadler. Mrs. Myrtle Arnold, Edgar Thayn, Ronald Anderson and Sheldon Hansen, all of Salt Lake; Mrs. Ted Dahl and son, of Spring City, and Mrs. Evan Hansen. |
