Show Roosevelt Sends 18 To Annual Legion Boys' State When the annual American Legion sponsored Boys' State gets underway officially next Sunday morning, July 11, there will be eighteen boys from the Roosevelt area and two' from Myton, who are all students at Union High School, enrolled in the 1954 gathering. To the Basin Post No'. 64 goes the distinction for having secured sponsors for 19 boys, the largest delegation to' ever represent this post in the history of Boys' State. In fact it might be a record for small posts in the state. . . at least we'll claim the honors until some other Legion Leg-ion unit can show us a better representation. Names of the sponsoring organizations, or-ganizations, businesses and individuals in-dividuals who are making it possible for the large group to have a week's training in city, county, state and federal government, gov-ernment, will be published next week. Following are the names of the boys who' will pack up their duds and leave Roosevelt next Saturday for Camp Williams for the week-long camp: Bill Haslem, Lynn Alexander, George Forakis, Norman Hanson, Han-son, Gordon Eldredge, Mark Neilson, Charles Bartlett, Fred Riding, Dale Womack, Reuben Broderick, Howard Andrews, Kenneth Anderton, Ray Labrum, Lab-rum, Dick Weiss, Golden Heed j and Richard Durfee. |
