""I SUBMITS TO OPERATION Friends recevied word from the tese Palms that Mrs. Palms underwent under-went an operation on her ear Oct 23. The results of the operation opera-tion were not known. They expect ex-pect to be home in another week. She is expected to go back in mother six months for another operation. The Palms are in California. Cali-fornia. Word was received that a form-er form-er resident, Mrs. Jesse Barlow, i . . of Grand Junction, Colo, is suffering suf-fering from the effects of several strokes. She is a sister of Delbert Shiner. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden transacted business in Vernal on Nov. 9. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Farnsworth of Altamont visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Jessen are the proud parents of a baby. girl, born Nov. 9 in the Roosevelt Hospital. This makes two girls and two boys for the Jessens. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Allen of Price and Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Alexander of Hot Springs. Calif., visited with Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Powell and Jim Timothy last Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mrs. Allen is a sister of Jim Timothy. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess took a load of furniture to Salt Lake City last Sunday for Clarence Smith. The Smiths are planning on moving to Salt Lake City in the near future. Ted Snyder of Tooele visited his mother, Mrs. Elva Snyder, and his sister, Mrs. Gerald Jacob-son Jacob-son and family several days during dur-ing the week. W. B. Stoddard of Randlett transacted busines at the Clinton Bowden farm Friday. Mrs. Eldora Peterson took her baby to Roosevelt Saturday for medical care. She had an ear and throat infection. Mrs. Oliver Bowden of Independence Inde-pendence and son, Oscar, of the Navy were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden Nov. 10. Oscar has been stationed in California, but when his furlough fur-lough is over he will report to Norfolk, Virgina. A large number of parents attended at-tended Parents' Day at the Altamont Alta-mont school Nov 9. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen and Johnnie Smith of Artesia, Colo., came to their home here last Friday to look after their cattle. They returned to Artesia Sunday. |
