Show MORE ALTAIilOHT Mrs Eva Bentley PRINCIPAL BREAKS ARM Altamont High School's Faculty team played their first game with Altonah's Explorer-Jr. M Men basketball team Thursday, Nov. 10. Altonah won with a score of 56 to 46. During the game, one of the faculty team, Principal Rondo Harmon, was injured. He was one of several players who collided and fell while trying to receive a pass ball. His left arm was broken about an inch above the wrist. Mrs. Eva Bentley, Bent-ley, Altamont. 11-17-ltc Nyl'e and Renae Chapman and Mrs. Leland Stevenson went to Salt Lake last Monday and returned re-turned Wednesday, Nov. 9. Mrs. Stevenson is recovering from a badly sprained ankle which she received while deer hunting. Two BYU students home for the weekend who attended the Senior Hop were Max Brotherson and Leta Beckstead. A Junior High School party was held at the Altamont High School Monday night, Nov. 14. Seventh and eighth graders danced and had refreshments. The high school orchestra or-chestra furnished the dance music. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stevenson, of Salt Lake, brother and sister-in-law of Leland Stevenson, were visitors during the pheasant hunt this week. The Harold Stevensons also visited with friends and relatives rela-tives in Mt. Home. Henry Stevenson, of Mt. Home, spent the evening of Nov. 14 with Lamar Stevenson and attended the Jr. High party at school. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case and Mrs. Pearl Case visited in Bluebell Sunday with Gardner Goodrich, who is ill. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Crosby Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Crozier and family. Alice and Faye, their daughters, visited them also. Earl Case returned home from the Roosevelt LDS Hospital Monday Mon-day morning, feeling much better. We are all' happy to hear the good news. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case spent the weekend visiting with their daughters. They visited with Gayle at the BYU and had dinner with Moyle and Deane Parker in American Amer-ican Fork. Gwen and Kelley Sprouse accompanied them to Salt Lake where they visited with their daughter, Peggy Morrell and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Denver took her mother, Mrs. K. R. Houtz, to Salt Lake for medical treatment. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Felow in Salt Lake, and with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Houtz in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Denver also attended an American Legion Auxiliary meeting in Fort Duchesne Du-chesne Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel' spent Saturday in Provo and Heber. They returned home in a new 1956 Chevrolet station wagon. |
