Show Eldon W. Winterton Claims Miss Jean Goodrich In Salt Lake LDS Temple Rites r Eldon W. Winterton claimed Miss Jean Goodrich for his bride in rites solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Monday, Oct. 31, with Robert I. Burton officiating at the ceremony. The new Mrs. Winterton is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Goodrich of Vernal and the bridegroom bride-groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. Van D. Winterton of Roosevelt. Following the ceremony a wedding wed-ding dinner complimented the newlyweds at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard' Jorgenson in Salt Lake City. The justweds enjoyed a brief honeymoon trip to the Southern Utah Parks, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. For her going-away ensemble en-semble the new Mrs. Winterton chose a charcoal grey sheath dress, with black and white accessories. The Glines LDS ward in Vernal was the scene of a wedding reception recep-tion complimenting the young couple Saturday. Nov 5, with the bride's parents as host and hostess for the affair. The attractive blonde bride greeted guests in her wedding gown of white satin with a tulle and lace overskirt, the scalloped lace forming four points over the full bouffant skirt. The tight fitting bodice was, fashioned with tucked tulle and lace, with the long lace sleeves tapering to lily points at the wrist. Her cap of seed pearls held a finger-tip veil of tulle edged with lace. She carried a bouquet of red roses Mrs. Graham Hollingworth, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor, wearing a striped taffeta taf-feta gown of chartreuse and white. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Keith Winterton, Win-terton, who wore brorize and white and Miss Doreen Leigh of Mesa, Arizona, who was attired in green and white taffeta. All attendants carried white baskets containing pink, purple and white chrysanthemums. chrysan-themums. Little Anne Goodrich, sister of the bride, was the flower girl and wore green taffeta with net. Her nosegay was of pink roses. Best man duties were assumed by Keith Winterton, brother of the groom. Mother of the bride chose an aqua taffeta dress and had a corsage cor-sage of pink and white carnations, while the groom's mother wore a dark brue sheath dress accented with a pink rose corsage. The reception table was centered with a four-tiered fruit cake, topped top-ped with a miniature bride and groom. Mrs. Louise Hatch of Salt Lake City, decorated the cake. In charge of serving were Miss Guyla Stewart, Mr.s. Dallas DeMille, Miss Oma Wardle and Miss Carl'ile Goodrich. Attending the gift room were Mrs. Owen Powell and Mrs. Stephen Perry. Guest book signing was undr the direction of Mrs; Hollis G. Hullinger. With Frank R. Walker as master mas-ter of ceremonies, the following program was presented: vocal solos, Mrs. Wallace Trottier and Mrs. Graham Hollingworth; and a reading, Mrs. Rondo Sullivan. The new bride graduated with the class of '54 from Uintah High School, where she was active in music and other school affairs. She has been employed by the raido station KVEL at Vernal during dur-ing the past year. The bridegroom graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1951, attended the Brigham Young University Uni-versity at Provo for two years, and just completed a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints in the Central Atlantic States. The newlyweds are making their home at 118 South 5th West in Vernal. |
