Show Legion Banquet Guests Hear Featured Talks A large crowd of American Leg- .-. ion and Auxiliary members at : tended the annual Veterans' Day ( banquet sponsored by the Basin : Post No. 64, on Nov. 11, and held . at the barracks. According to James Milligan, ! post commander, two outstanding addresses were heard by the group. One delivered by Parley Jenson, Utah Department vice-commander, on the subject, "Veterans' Day .. and Americanism;" the other was by Lt. Col. Scheffler, who is sta- ; tioned at Ft. Douglas. His subject was the "Reserve Act of 1955." He expressed his willingness to ' talk to high school student bodies on this subject. -. A vocal solo was sung by Kenneth Ken-neth Benson, accompanied by his -( sister, Melba, and Mrs. Erma Sut- ; teer entertained the group with a a reading. The dinner was prepared pre-pared and served by members of , the Auxiliary, and Commander Mil- ligan presided at the dinner. |
