Show Carter Oi! Will Pay Employees A Savings Bonus A payment totaling $1,200,000 is being made to 2903 employees of The Carter Oil Company who participate in a voluntary savings program, John W. Brice, Carter president, announced today. This grant is in addition to the regular monthly company contributions contri-butions made to employees who save, on a systematic basis, a part of their earnings each month. For every $1 Carter employees have saved during 1955, the company has added more than $1. For 20 consecutive years, Brice reported, Carter has made an annual an-nual year end contribution to the workers. This is the first year it has exceeded one million dollars. The company monthly and annual grants to workers since 1936. when the plan was inaugurated, have totaled more than $14,000.-000. $14,000.-000. Employees of the 63-year-old company, oldest producing subsidiary subsid-iary of Standard Oil Company (New Jersey) live in 186 communities commun-ities in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Col-orado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Lousiana, Michigan, Mich-igan, Mississippi, Missouri. Nebraska, Nebras-ka, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Montana, Mon-tana, South Dakota, Utah, Washington Wash-ington and Wyoming. In Utah, 50 Carter employees live in Duchesne, Gusher, Neola, Roosevelt, Salt Lake City and Vernal. |
