Hartley is a nephew of Mrs. Kinke. They are enroute to Atlanta, Atlan-ta, Georgia where Lt. Hartley will be stationed. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bringhurst and Mr. and Mrs. Sandquist, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests of Mrs. Erma Labrum. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Alice Al-ice Lublin last weekend were her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Sparks and family, of Provo. Roosevelt visitors last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Don Allred and family. Visiting at the Dwain Buchanan home last Friday and Saturday were Mr. Buchanan's folks, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Buchanan of Venice, Utah. Home for the weekend were Gwennita Curry, Essie and Eva Sprouse and a guest, Miss Arlene Beck, all of Salt Lake City. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Allred were Mr. and Mrs. Laddie Timothy. Visiting friends and completing a business transaction over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harris and family of Klamath Agency, Ag-ency, Oregon. The Harris' report that they like their new home very much but miss all their friends in the Uintah Basin. Enjoying the weekend home from college werj Earlene Warburton, Barbara Ray, Packy Fenn, Lynn Alexander, Albert Collotzi, Ann Peterson, Nancy Rockwood, Gwen and Merlyn Bodily, Norman Bodily, Franklin Peterson, Patsy Gines and I Mr. and Mrs. Jack Alexander. Mr. and Mrs. Les Mullins and son, Chad, spent pheasant season with the Steve Bellons and other friends. Mrs. Mary Allen, of Elko Nev., has been visiting with the Grant Killians. Salt Lake City visitors three days last week were Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Ashton. Doug Malin had as guests for pheasant hunting, Hy Saunders : and Jim Brown, of Salt Lake City. Mr. Campbell attended a '; Soil Conservation Training School. FT. DUCHESNE Mrs. Norma Denver .returned home Sunday from Salt Lake City, where she underwent a major operation in the LDS Hospital. She reported that she is getting along well, and glad to be home. John Ruppel, accompanied by two fraternity brothers, Ronald Sharman and George Jeffery from the University of Utah, enjoyed the weekend in Roosevelt pheasant hunting and visiting. Enjoying the pheasant hunt last weekend were Dick Weiss and two friends, Paul Jarman and Darrell Smith, both of Ogden and University Uni-versity students, who were guests at the Sam Weiss home. Mr. and Mrs. Loman F. Hutch-ings Hutch-ings attended the University of Utah Parents' Day last weekend. Their son, Craig, is a sophomore student at the "U." Mrs. John Mac Wright arrived in Roosevelt last Friday to spend six months with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Oldroyd, while her husband, Lt. Wright, serves overseas with the U. S. Air Force. Since their May marriage the Wrights have resided in Charleston, Charles-ton, South Carolina, where he has been stationed. Accompanying Mrs. Wright to Salt Lake City was her mother - in - law, Mrs. John W. Wright, who had spent several days visiting in South Carolina before her son left for overseas duty. Mrs. Margaret Fenn left last week to spend the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Pat Roberts, and family in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Owen F. Burgener were called to Salt Lake City last Sunday due to the illness of Mr. Burgener's mother, Mrs. Fred Burgener, who suffered a stroke. Mrs. Alva C. Snow spent Monday Mon-day of last week in Salt Lake City, visiting her mother, Mrs. L. J. Ol-sen Ol-sen who is recovering from an operation: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nixon and Dorothy Dean Nixon, who are attending at-tending the Brigham Young University Uni-versity spent the weekend with their parents, the E. J. Nixons. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lerdahl were in Salt Lake this- week. They were called there by the death of Mr. Lerdahl"s father, who passed away Monday. Mr. and Mrs. David Wilson and two children were weekend guests at the Seth Wilson home. Mrs. Paul G. Stringham returned home Sunday morning after spending spend-ing several days in the Roosevelt Hospital receiving medical treatment. treat-ment. Erma and Eva Eldredge, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Olga Cupsec, of Salt Lake City, enjoyed the weekend week-end at the Harold Eldredge home. Mrs. Peryl Pack spent the weekend week-end in Logan. She was called there due to the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. Catherine Wat-kins, Wat-kins, who underwent a serious operation op-eration last Thursday. |
