Show Four Hunters Get One Small Bear Near Rock Creek Four Duchesne deer hunters "got a bear" this week on Dry Mountain in the Rock Creek area. The little brown bruin was first sighted by George Marett, shot twice and wounded critically by Duane Meriwether, shot out of a cedar tree, (where it had climbed after being wounded) by Steve Esauk, and hauled off the mountain moun-tain by Jack Gordon on his horse. The young "yearlin" bear's hide was claimed by Duane Meriwether who is having it tanned as a souvenir sou-venir of the hunt. . . |
