Show Sing-Song Held By Beehive Girls The Beehive girls of the stake had a Sing-Song breakfast at the rodeo' grounds Wednesday morning, morn-ing, Aug. 12. The affair was under un-der the direction of Mrs. James Powell and Mrs. Len Wall, stake Beekeepers. Mrs. Grant Hansen and Miss Beth Winkler led the group in fun songs after the breakfast, then the girls enjoyed games led by Mrs. Ty Kolb, stake MIA recreation leader. The members of her family held a surprise birthday party for Mrs. Roy Rust on Aug. 12 at the home ' of Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Rust. She was 71 years old. Those present were, besides Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Rust and family, Mr. and Mrs. Evan O. Bennion, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Powell and family, Mr. and Mrs Erwin Rust, R. W. Rust, George and Gwen Chapman. Edgar Thayne attended the Moon reunion in Heber on Sunday Sun-day of last week. Miss Sheila Evans went to Salt Lake City on Thursday of last week to stay with Mrs. Walter Rogers, (nee Elida Crosby) Cros-by) after the birth of their third child, a daughter, born Wednesday, Aug. 12, in the Salt Lake LDS Hospital. SWIMMING PARTY Mrs. Bernard Dastrup took her Sunday School class to the river for a swimming party on Thursday afternoon of last week. After swimming, the group played volley ball and ate watermelon at the church yard. Those present were: Larry Hansen, Han-sen, Lamar Stevenson, Grant Drollinger, Josephine Wall, Carolyn Car-olyn Dastrup, Flora Jean Denver, Gary Hansen, Tom Hansen and Frances Bentley. Mr. and Mrs. Bovee Mecham and family went to Idaho to visit relatives from Thursday to Tuesday of this week. Cheryl Evans accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mecham and children were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Rust on Sunday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lyrad McCon-kie McCon-kie and family attended the Mc-Conkie Mc-Conkie reunion at the rodeo grounds on -Saturday and Sunday, Sun-day, Aug. 8 and 9. Dovnitta and Terry Clark, of St. -Anthony, Idaho, visited last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Baxter. Mrs. Joe Bentley and son, Joe Jr., of Provo, were visitors at " the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Bern-ard Dastrup. They took their daughter, Frances, home with them. She has been a guest with her aunt and uncle for six weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell went to Ogden Saturday and Sunday of last week to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Boswell Bos-well and family, and other relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. Lyrad McConkie went to Salt Lake City Monday and Tuesday to visit . her mother, who has been returned to the hospital during her convales-ence convales-ence from a recent operation. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lambert Lam-bert and family attended the Benson reunion in Uinta Canyon Can-yon Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15 and 16. Miss Joyce Boswell has been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Volney Vol-ney Boswell for several days. She returned home on Friday of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Milton Christiansen, newly returned re-turned missionaries from Texas, who were also guests with the Boswells. They were all there for about five days. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Circuit and family were weekend guests at the home of- Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen. |
