Show MOUTWELL By Betiie Mower Labor Day Rodeo Plans Are Made A rodeo meeting was held Friday night at the Montwel chapel. Ray Brown was put in as president of the rodeo committee, com-mittee, with Maurel Taylor, vice president; Vic Brown, secretary; Dan Pace, confections; Max Nelson, Nel-son, finance, and Newt Miller, grounds. Plans are progressing rapidly for the 7th of September Septem-ber Labor Day rodeo, i Beth Brown attended the 2-stake 2-stake Primary convention held in Roosevelt, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown attended at-tended the Uinta Cattle and Horsemen Association, which included in-cluded a banquet barbeque and dance, held at the Corral in Vernal, Saturday night. Donald Anderton and his fiance, fi-ance, Lorraine Anderson, of Roosevelt, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Anderton and attended Sacrament meeting meet-ing in Montwel Sunday evening. Jimmy Shaw is confined to his home with rheumatic fever. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hirter and children and Rudy Hirter, of Parker. Arizona, are staying with Mr. and Mrs. George Hunt and family. George Hunt made a plane trip to Salt Lake City and Preston, Pres-ton, Idaho, last week. Mrs. Pearl Hirter and children, chil-dren, Jerry and Stanley, , of Parker, Arizona, spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. George Hunt, before going to Los Angeles. An-geles. Mr. and Mrs. George Hunt and family spent last Sunday and Monday in Pleasant Grove, attending a reunion and visiting relatives. Mr. and MrsRobert Pritchett and family, of Long Beach, California; Cal-ifornia; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Brown and son. Gary, and Mr. i .. and Mrs. Earl Roberts and family fam-ily enjoyed a family dinner at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson, on Sunday. BEEHIVE GIRLS HAVE CANYON TRIP Those who went on the stake Beehive trip in the Uinta Canyon, Can-yon, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were Inez Brown, Mary Dale Hamblin. Gwena Brown, Naomi Adams and Joyce Hamblin. Hamb-lin. Ruth Hamblin went as their leader. Mr. and Mrs. Marley Hamblin visited Friday night with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Blanchard. Beverly Olsen and Beth All-red, All-red, of Neola, visited Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pace and family: Vaneta and Neldon Madsen and Ruth Woo'lley, of Pleasant Grove, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. George Hunt and family. Mr. and Mrs. William Blanchard Blanch-ard visited three days last week in Victor, Idaho with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Daly and family, of Ogden, visited here this week with Mr. and Mrs. William Blanchard. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Blanchard and family, of Salt Lake City, visited here Saturday night and Sunday. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday were: Ralph Shields, high councilman; Golda Adams, Donna Brown and Lester Thompson. Rosalee and Fred Brown sang, "Nearer My God to Thee.' Mrs. June Hackford, of Ft. Duchesne, is staying with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fenn and fam ily. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fenn spent the weekend in Salt Lake City visiting Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hardman. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pritchett and family, of Long Beach, California, Cal-ifornia, have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson. Clinton and Ronald Thompson, Thomp-son, of Providence. Utah, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson. Lester Thompson Thomp-son returned home with them. He has been working there this summer. |
