Show Utahns Urged To Give Clothing To the "Clothes For Korea Drive;" Mail All Contributions To Deseret Hews Utahn's today were urged to give all the clothing they can spare to the "Clothes for Korea Drive," under the auspicies of the American Relief for Korea, Inc. Clothing may be mailed through the end of August. Contributions of wearable clothing, shoes and bedding are welcomed to aid the starving, half-naked people of war-torn South Korea, according to Barney Bar-ney G. Turner, of Salt Lake City, local chairman of the campaign. cam-paign. Mr. Turner explained that with the conflict in Korea at an end the need is even greater with millions of people coming out of their hiding places plac-es in the hills to rebuild their devastated homes. Clothing may be mailed to the Salt Lake City headquarters headquar-ters of "Clothes for Korea Drive." It should be sent to "Clothes for Korea Drive," Des- eret News and Telegram, 33 Richards St., Salt Lake City. All the Armed Rorces Reserve Re-serve service in the Salt Lake area are cooperating with the Deseret News and Telegram to stage the drive. In Salt Lake City, uniformed Reservists will pick up clothing at homes on the two weekends within the drive period. Civic and church organizations organiza-tions throughout the state are cooperating on the drive to' help meet the quota of a quarter of a million pounds of clothing. Clothing will be shipped directly di-rectly from Salt Lake City to San Francisco through the courtesy cour-tesy of member freight lines of the Utah Motor Transport Association. Asso-ciation.
