Show Mayor and Mrs. J. V. McLea attended the reception given for Dr. H. A. Dixon Sunday afternoon after-noon at the Union Building in Logan. Dr. Dixon was recently appointed president of the USAC. Harvey C. Weiss, chief in the U. S. Navy, left last Thursday evening for Guam. Mrs. Weiss and son. Max, will remain with her parents, the Farrell Wilkins, until they receive orders to join him there. . Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clark arrived last week from Comp-ton, Comp-ton, Calif., to visit with relatives rela-tives in Roosevelt. They are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lambert. Carl Harrison was a business visitor in Spanish Fork last Thursday, where he went to view a new Allis-Chalmers tractor, trac-tor, which is being introduced. Those from Ogden attending funeral services of Royal Ostler were Victor Wills and son, Bob, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wills and daughter, Karen, and Mrs. Wil-ma Wil-ma Christensen. Salt Lake City visitors Monday Mon-day and Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harmston and children. . Mrs. Carroll Robbins arrived last weekend to visit friends in Roosevelt. She is a houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Scholes. Fred Ferron was released recently from a Salt Lake City hospital where he was confined foT a week with virus pneumonia. pneumon-ia. Mr. and Mrs. Ferron had just returned from a trip to Colorado and were in Salt Lake when -Mr. Ferron was afflicted. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett and daughters were visitors in Salt Lake City Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell E. Lambert's Lam-bert's daughter. Mrs J rv Poore and children, David, Eileen Ei-leen and Louis, returned to their home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Minneso-ta, after spending the' past six weeks visiting here and in Salt Lake City. Mr. Poore joined them here for the weekend and they drove home via Yellowstone Park and South Dakota. Wednesday visitors last week at the Wesley Dickerson home were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Par-duhn, Par-duhn, of American Fork. Mrs. Parduhn is Mr. Dickerson's sister. sis-ter. Mrs. Lynn Whitlock. of Salt Lake City, was a local visitor a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. George Buchanan Buchan-an arrived home this week after enjoying a vacation trip to Fish Lake. Dr. and Mrs. John Z. Brown, Jr.. of Salt Lake City, arrived Sunday night for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harrison. The foursome enjoyed an outing in Uinta Canyon for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Markey went to Salt Lake City Sunday to meet a niece, Sydney Case, of California, who will spend the winter with the Markeys. Sydney is twelve years old, and will be in the seventh grade at the Jr. High School. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Sullivan, who are the proud parents of a 9 lb. 10 oz. baby boy, who' made entrance en-trance into the world Monday, Aug. 10th. Mother and son arrived ar-rived home from the hospital Saturday, both feeling fine. The new bundle of joy answers to Randall David and was given a royal welcome by his two brothers and sister. Mrs. Reta Cummings, of Santa San-ta Ana, Calif., left Saturday morning after spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Ru-lon Ru-lon Anderton, and family. Also visiting at the Anderton home last Wednesday and Thursday was Mrs. Anderton's brother Dee S. Gines, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lloyd R. Labrum and son, Bob, and Mrs. Lloyd L. Labrum and children. Ricky and Mike, accompanied Mrs. Anna Clark to her home in Tucson, Tuc-son, Arizona. Mrs. Lloyd L. Labrum visited in Phoenix with her sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Louis L. Shannon returning home last Thursday night.
