Show Forester Retires After Long Public Service District Forest Ranger Clyde Lambert will retire from work with the U. S. Forest Service on March 31, 1952, according to an announcement by Wm. ', D. Hurst, forest supervisor. Mr. Lambert entered the Forest For-est Service on May 1. 1921. His first assignment was as ranger in charge of the Fort Bridger district on the Ashley National Forest with headquarters at the Hole-in-the Rock Ranger Station Sta-tion near Lonetree, Wyoming. In 1925 he was transferred to the Lake Fork district of the Ashley National Forest with headquarters at Altonah. He has had charge of this district for the past 27 years. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Lambert worked in the lumber lum-ber and livestock business before be-fore his long period of federal employment. This experience fitted him well for his work with the U. S. Forest Service. As a district manager, Mr. Lambert made many noteworthy notewor-thy contributions to conservation. conserva-tion. Working with livestock' permittees, he has developed a sound grazing program for his district.
