Show Junior Prom The junior class held its annual an-nual Prom, Friday night, at the high school gym. The theme, "Red Sails in the Sunset," was beautifully carried out in changing tints of sunset colors, which emanated from a setting sun in the stage end of the hall, and cast a red glow on an immense im-mense mural of sailboats on a shimmering blue sea, painted on the opposite wall. Kay Wall, junior class president, presi-dent, was Prom chairman, assisted as-sisted by Mona Miles, Frances Wall, Barbara Allred and Ver-etta Ver-etta Gomm. The high school art class did the mural and other art work. Mr. . and Mrs. Robert Miles have moved from Roosevelt to Mt. Emmons. They are occupying occupy-ing the small house north of the Edgar Miles home, formerly owned by Fay Reay. Here for the Junior Prom were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thack-er, Thack-er, of Ogden. Fred is employed at Hill Air Force Base. Other weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Thacker were their daughters, Delma and Anna Lee, of Salt Lake City. Norma and Jay Wall, of Salt Lake, spent Friday and Saturday Satur-day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wall. Two babies were brought to Sacrament meeting Sunday to receive their names. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen was given the name of Merrallee Ann. The other tot, also a girl, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Thacker, was christened Karma Rae. Saturday night guests of Mrs. Mary Ann Case and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fry, of Richfield, who were here to attend the wedding of Mrs. Fry's sister, Kathleen Pearson, of Boneta, and Marion Brown of Kooshar-em. Kooshar-em. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Case and son, Garry, of Vernal, spent Saturday night and Sunday here with relatives. They attended the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Marion Brown in Boneta, Bo-neta, Saturday night. |
