T Accompanists for the various nnmbers were Afton Smithson, .L Sfaurine Miles, Sheral Ames. E Connie Lyons, Bernice Boswell 'J Carol Bleazard. Short addresses were given Lhv Superintendent Dean C. Christensen and Primary Supervisor Super-visor Arietta Williams. Mrs. Williams gave the report on the Three R's that was prepared by her eroup for the recent con-'B con-'B ference on Rural Life and Edu-'U Edu-'U cation held at the Union High School. . Mr. Christensen discussed school problems in general, stressing particularly the grow-ing grow-ing complexity of school super-' super-' vision "Duties of school heads . formerly consisted principally of classroom supervision, now, however," said Mr. Christensen, "a number of business items, - such as transportation of stu-m- dents and the school lunch are vital and time consuming items;" He pleased the parents and teachers and particularly Othe officers of the organization t Dy the statement that the Altamont Alta-mont PTA meetings have the largest attendance of any PTA organization in the Basin. The 3rd grade and the junior jun-ior class had the largest number of parents present. The Upalco mothers served cake and punch. Mrs. Evan Bennion, PTA president, conducted the meeting. |
