Show ARCADIA Mrs. Elsie Bird ' Join In Four Stake Confab The following attended the 4-Stake M.I. A. Convention at the Union High School Saturday night: Mr. and Mrs. Hale Hol-gate, Hol-gate, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, Howard Gilbert, Mrs. Merle Ross, Miss Merlyn Ross and Leon Le-on Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mecham and children, of Mt. Home, visited vis-ited during the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross. E 1 d o n Thompson attended funeral services for Mrs. Silas Ross at Price last week. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan and children, of Neola. visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird on Tuesday. A large crowd from Arcadia attended funeral services for Mrs. Eliza J. Gilbert at Roosevelt Roos-evelt Saturday. Mrs. Gilbert had spent most of her life in Arcadia, Arca-dia, having moved to Roosevelt about seven years ago to live with her daughter, Martha Shanks. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird and girls visited Saturday in Roosevelt Roos-evelt with Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Solomonson. Jennis Nielson, of Colorado', visited recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate. Mr. Nielson is Mrs. Holgate's brother. broth-er. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen are driving a new Chevrolet. Mrs. June Mower and son, David, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen. Scott Lusty made a trip to Salt Lake during the week to get a load of phosphate. Word comes from Pocatello, Idaho, of the birth of a baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Goodrich. Good-rich. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Goodrich Good-rich are the proud grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Powell and three children, of Midvale, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Ewell of Provo, visited over the week end here with relatives. Mrs. Florence Williams, of Logan, accompanied her mother, Mrs. Mary Lisonbee here, where they were called by the death of their sister and daughter, Mrs. Lydia Bird. Mrs. Lisonbee had been visiting in Logan with Florence. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Goodrich, of Bonanza, are the proud parents par-ents of a baby girl born Mar. 17. Mrs. M. Verona Winkler accompanied ac-companied Mr. and Mrs. Grant Monsen, of Altonah, to Sandy, where they attended the wedding wed-ding reception for Jay Winkler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Winkler. Wink-ler. Jay is Mrs. Monson's brother broth-er and Mrs. Winkler's grandson. |
