Bountiful-Davis Art Center will sponsor "In the Mood" Friday, THF MOOT' March 25, and Saturday, March 26, at the center. Lead roles are 11 III-' 1 IVVL played by Ken Plain and Kathleen LaRue Mikkelson, front row; and David Glaittli and Jerri Grills. In the Mood, a vocal group specializing in music of the 1930's and 1940's will present two concerts at the Bountiful-Davis Bountiful-Davis Art Center, 2175 S. Main, on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26, at 8 p.m. THE GROUP was organized in the spring of 1981 and have performed for various political, politic-al, civic, church, and social events throughout the Inter-mountain Inter-mountain area. In the summer of 1982 they were featured as guest artist with the Mormon Youth Chorus on their Sum mer Concert Series. The members of the group come from various walks of life, but all share a great love of the nostalgic period of the 30's and 40's. JERRI Grills, best known for her local theatrical performances per-formances is a program coordinator coordi-nator for the University of Utah Medical Center Student Program Division. She has been seen recently at the Bountiful-Davis Art Center in "Working" and "The Belle of Amherst." David Glaittli, assistant manager for the Travel Company, Com-pany, has also been involved in local theatre. Kathleen LeRue Michelsen, a member of the Tabernacle Choir, works as a computer assistant for the V.A. Medical Center. KEN PLAIN, pianist and arranger, is a scholarship student stu-dent in music at the University of Utah. Ken also joins the group occasionally as a vocalist. voc-alist. In the Mood presents their repertoire of music from the 30's and 40's with the full flair of that period. They dress exclusively ex-clusively in clothing of that period. Some of the numbers which will be performed on the March 25 and 26 concerts will be "In the Mood," "Lullabye of Birdland," "Sentimental Journey," and an unpublished work from 1940 entitled "Vaccination "Vac-cination for Love." TICKETS may be purchased purch-ased in advance at the Bountiful-Davis Art Center and will also be available at the door.
