Show Bowler Inducted Into Hall Of Fame .""f. n HELEN DAVIS On Feb. 7 the Bountiful Women's Bowling Association Associa-tion held a very special meeting meet-ing to install Helen Davis as the newest member to their Hall of Fame, in the Superior Performance Category. HELEN began her bowling career in 1925, at the old De-seret De-seret Gym. In the 1930's 40's and 50's, she made headline news with her outstanding performances. per-formances. In 1946 Helen was named "Woman Bowler of the Year." Helen also has been on many teams who won state ti tles. She and her partner won Double and Singles championships champion-ships numerous times. In 1965 in the Bountiful WBA City Tournament she was All Events winner and also on the winning teams in 1969 and 1970. " HELEN AND her husband, Jim, now live in Woods Cross, enjoying their retirement with traveling and gardening. Helen no longer is an active bowler due to her arthritis. |
