Show Brave Talk By JEANNINE BENNETT Last Tuesday the Region Forensics speech meet was held at Highland. Bountiful "waxed" their opponents and moved into the lead. Current scores: Bountiful, 131; East, 108: Viewmont, 39; Woods Cross, 38. BOUNTIFUL qualified their maximum number of students to go to state. This Tuesday is region Lincoln-Douglas Debate De-bate and Leg. Forum at Bountiful. Boun-tiful. If we keep up the good work we will be able to take region. Again students are building Rave-re, our theme During the week both the baseball and soccer teams had practice games. They're starting start-ing off the season great. The J.V. soccer team won and the varsity team tied. Good luck. SATURDAY night our last Girls Dance was held. The dance was packed with couples cou-ples who were having a great time getting hitched and drinking drink-ing sasparilla at the bar. A fun time was had by all who attended. The senate did a great job, planning the whole dance. This week is the "challenge of the grades." Activities have already started and the points are accumulating. Friday in the big assembly the triumphant trium-phant class will be announced. ALSO THIS week the BHS extravaganza and sophomore orientation will be held. The day is Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Parents and students together are invited. Good luck to the gymnasts competing against Davis Thursday at 4 and to those competing in solo and ensemble ensem-ble at East Friday. |
