Show The Unveiling of the State Champions ji , " y "The "funncst" time I've ever had was plav-ing plav-ing ball in the stare tournament, it's just a great feeling being there and plaving for a title. We all played well together, all of us, this team is unselfish and everyone had a different role. We just wanted to play as well as wc could and to take state and then we knew we would get the respect wc deserved." Todd Robinson I n ! i ii ( K I ; l I L "I'm just really happy. It was a great feeling vhen we were pulled out of the final game flowing we had the game and title. We've een working for this title since the ninth ;.(. ?ade. The newspapers didn't think we would ;..in and that just helped us to work harder, r ter we beat Bountiful the first time I knew : 'e had a state caliber team. It doesn't seem it has happened but it's something I'll Jways remember." RaccMcCleery V - 'u V ! 1 . J&toiviL "It was a great experience this entire season. I've never felt anvthing like the feeling I had when I went out of the final game and knew we were the state champions. This was a team effort the whole wav, people just contributed in various wavs like assists or rebounds. Since the ninth grade I've had this dream about a state title and now we have it. Winning it ccrtainlv didn't hurt mv chances of college ball cither."' Greg Houskeeper P lkti h WflMffltailfril I'lMnlWlTf J-':'t 'A&t&tl J-VlMfftfcjfraftjM MM K-. After we lost to East I thought we would win it all, it's a great feeling to be the top team." Todd Dyson S .sis'' K v ' I l t $ T p - - j it! i "It still seems like a dream to be the top team in the state. Winning the tournament was great, it was a perfect way to end a high school career. It was really fun playing with these guys, we were like a family." Scott Longson "There's nothing else like it, just a great feeling. It has been a fun year for me, I have no regrets because the best people were starting. People didn't really know that much about us going into the state tournament and we had to prove ourselves. Now we're the top team with no one above us, and we proved that." Troy Cullimore y -. w ' Vr'j ;.' ' J s- . SaaMHBMM .". f : 'uZ'V- x 1U :: f :.VH.'S I v ri : "It's just great. This is a once in a lifetime experience to be part of a state championship - team. It takes a good team to dominate the " tournament like we did and I honesdy feel we - proved ourselves to the papers in the tourna- ; ment. These guys were like brothers to me." Ross Valdez II .- 1 ii - . - jmr "It's a feeling that you can't really describe. . A state title is something you play for, prepare ' for and work for but never really know if it'll .' ever be a reality. I'm tickled for the kids theve played as a team the entire season. We've never really been a one man show at all this year and : they are all unselfish as evidenced by our 54 assists in the tournament. Plus the two other coaches, Clyde and Rick, had important roles -in the success of the program this year." Coach Baker "These kids are very coachable, they do what they're told to do and respond really Veil to coaching. They are a very disciplined team -.. with some good quality kids on it. I've felt ' . good about these kids for a couple of years." Coach Jackson |
