Show 1 Highland News Maurice Larson and Tessie Peck both of Highland were quietly united unit-ed in marriage in the Salt Lake temple tem-ple Friday, January 26. Mr. Larson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ludvig M. Larson and Mrs. Larson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Peck, who moved to Highland a few months ago. Both young people have been active in church and social so-cial circles. They will reside in Fielding after March 1. Their many friends are wishing them a most happy married life. Betty Hall has been confined to her bed for the past ten days. Last reports are that Miss Betty is slightly slight-ly improved. Mrs. Luella M. Binns has been in Scofield during the past week, guest of her two sons, Moyle and Alma Binns, and families. The Elders of the ward are sponsoring spon-soring a social Friday evening in honor of all members of the Mel-chizedek Mel-chizedek Priesthood quorums and their partners, also all widows in the ward. The social will commence at 8 p. m. in the ward chapel and the committee in charge are planning to make it an outstanding event of the year. The Sunshine committee carried out plans for a most interesting social in honor of Mrs. J. E. Bark-dull Bark-dull at her home Tuesday afternoon. During the afternoon a reading was given by Mrs. Cressie L. Greenland, also a most clever playlet, "The Salesman and His Wife" was presented pre-sented by Mrs. Mary L. Myers, and Mrs. Pearl Adamson. In addition to these numbers games and social chat formed the afternoon's diversions. Late in the afternoon a most delicious delic-ious luncheon was served to eighteen ladies present. Mrs. Velma "W. Jerling attended a party given in Lehi in honor of her mother, Mrs. John W. Wing, Tuesday Tues-day afternoon. Mrs. William Hobbs, who has been very ill for the past week or so, is on the improve. A Genealogical cottage meeting was held at Bishop Harry Jerling's home last Thursday evening. During Dur-ing the evening the keeping of record rec-ord books was discussed. Late in the evening a dainty lunch was served. serv-ed. 0 |
