Show Final Respects Paid Citizen Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon commencing at 2 p. m. in the First ward chapel for William B. Gardner. There was a splendid attendance and many lovely floral tributes, expressing the love and esteem for the deceased. Bishop T. A. Greenwood was in charge. The opening number was "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," sung by a double quartet. Miss Mary Humphries Hum-phries was accompanist. Prayer was offered by Marius Madsen, after which the quartette sang, "Resting Now From Care and Sorrow." The speakers, who told of the many fine qualities of character the deceased possessed and the consola-tinr, consola-tinr, ho fnund in the doctrines of the Latter-day Saint faith were S. L. Chipman, E. J. Seastrand and James H. Clarke. After the remarks of Mr. Chipman, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lindley of Provo Pro-vo sang "Teach My Soul To Pray", and the closing number by the quartet quar-tet was, "Shall We Meet Beyond the River." The benediction was pronounced by Thomas Priday. Interment was made in the city cemetery where the grave was dedicated dedi-cated by James Gardner. |
