(524) Little League sponsors The Recreation Department is in need of Little League sponsors. Help Park City's soon-to-become big leaguers by becoming a sponsor for the season. All contributions will be tax deductible and will go towards outfitting your special team with the donor's logo. It's an informal group where concerned concern-ed parents can learn why kids use drugs and what skills they can develop to prevent drug problems. The interests and concerns of the group's members will determine the specific direction of the discussions. The first meeting is Tuesday, May 15, 6:30 p.m. at The Prevention Center, Park Meadows Plaza, Suite C-100. At that time they will discuss the group's interests as well as a convenient con-venient meeting time and place. Dads, moms, and grandparents are all invited. Community Clinic The Park City Community Clinic is a non-profit family planning and reproductive health program. Appointments are available for morning, afternoon and evening. Examinations are performed by a nurse practitioner. (tfn To catch the wind The Utah Energy Office plans to survey Utah's wind energy potential. Individuals and commercial interests are being asked to help identify potential sites where anemometers to measure wind velocity can be installed. Potential sites should be accessible and essentially free of buildings, trees, power lines or similar obstructions. Utah Energy Office staff believe the potential to provide power from wind to some 5,000 Utah homes is possible. Data will be collected every 30 days for two years from anemometers placed atop 65-foot towers provided by the Energy Office. The survey is a cooperative project among the Utah Energy Office, an agency of the Department of Natural Resources, the Western Area Power Administration, and Utah Power and Light Company. Park Council The Parley's Park Community CouncilP.T.A. will hold its final meeting Tuesday, May 8 at the elementary school at 9:30 a.m. Following discussion on the needs assessment and improvements for the coming year, a light luncheon will be served. (517) New Memorial Building hours Beginning in May, the Recreation Department will have new weekend hours. A special addition to the class is Moving and Learning, a program developed by Rae Pica to teach children in a fun and carefree atmosphere movement and dance. The program stresses there is no wrong way to move or learn. Also offered are a warm-up, stretch and gymnastic progressions all designed for the preschooler. (53) Local motion aerobics Program consists of an effective warm-up, stretch, 20 to 30 minutes of aerobic exercise and cool down, floor work that isolates and tones the whole body, followed by a relaxing final stretch. The automobile maintenance class will give you the know how. The instructor is a top mechanic. The photography class is very informative. It will help you take more lifelike and better pictures.
