Show Ski Report Park City Ski Area Wednesday morning the Park City Ski Area reported four new inches of slush on a growing base of 129 inches in Jupiter Bowl. The new snow was no news for the area, as it has received 400 inches of the white stuff this season, 100 inches over the season average. Four chairs and the gondola were open, and three bowls Jupiter, Scott's, and Blueslip. The area will close Sunday, May 6- Snowbird Snowbird will also close its regular season May 6, but then the spring and summer seasons begin. The "extended spring season" will run from May 7 to May 25, followed by a "summer ski season" from May 26 to June 17. For the spring season the Gad I and Little Cloud chairs will be open providing access to the entire Gad Valley. Lifts will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and tickets will cost $9. The summer season will offer skiing in the Little Cloud area, serviced ser-viced by the Little Cloud chair and the aerial tram. Skiing will run i from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily, and tickets will cost $9. Extra tram rides will cost $2 each. The current base depth at Snowbird is 142 inches. |
