There's a lot the Chamber Bureau can do for you - and the more support you offer, the stronger the voice we have in working together, to make Park City a greater place to live, work, invest and visit. ihe operations and objectives of the organization. Born in Seattle, Washington. Washing-ton. Tina moved to Salt Lake City at age eleven. She was an art history majorphiloso-phy majorphiloso-phy minor at the Univ. of Utah, and received excellent "on the job" experience working for Seventeen Magazine Mag-azine and McCall's Pattern Company, modeling and designing publicity and fashion fash-ion shows. Needless to say. Tina's sewing ability is enviable, having designed and produced many costumes cost-umes for the infamous Chamber of Commerce Snowflaker's Ball and theater theat-er productions the likes of "My Fair Lady." Anyone who knows Tina, know her talents do not stop there! A few of her areas of involvement include: Arts Festival Executive Committee. Commit-tee. Former Arts Festival Director. KPCW Board member. U.S. Film and Video Festival Board member. mem-ber. City Council woman . Board member of the Park City Historical Society. Specific projects she's working on are: The Park City Parks Masterplan, Historic Hist-oric District Guidelines, Miners Mi-ners Hospital Restoration, Business License Ordinance, OsmondUS Ski Team Celebrity Cele-brity Classic, and Park City Film Guidelines. What else? Well Tina admits she "likes to drive fast in fast cars" and most of the time, her working style reflects this same enthusiasm for "getting "gett-ing things done." Executive Director, Debby Symonds, has many valuable years of working experience that have led to her current position with the Chamber Bureau. Deb received her Bachelors Degree in Tourism, division of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Michigan State Univ. While in Michigan, she was employed as a travel agent for two years, and upon moving to Salt Lake City, workeci as a Sales Exec, for the Hotel Utah. Since then, Deb has been employed as Director of Sales, The YarrowHoliday Inn for two years, and for two more years has held her current position as Executive Director Direct-or of the Convention Bureau, turned Chamber of CommerceConvention Com-merceConvention Bureau. While it's taken Deb four years to begin ski lessons so that she can keep up with the rest of the staff on the slopes, at least she knows how to sell the industry and sell it well. In all of her efforts, from marketing coordination and advertising to public relations and convention sales, Park City is presented professionally and tastefully. Much of the "four season" sell can be attributed attribut-ed to Deb, and all Park City businesses can thank her for this direction. This concludes the Park |
