Show - ' ' ---- V f I .. J $100 Vanishes from Purse Helen Kundsen told officers March 6, $100 was taken from her purse while she was away from her rented Empire Ave. condo. She left the purse in the unit when she left for a brief period. Ski Boots Disappear Ski boots valued at $225 disappeared Feb. 24 from the construction office at the Park City Village job site. The boots belonged to Mark Olsen. s Missing Camera Reported A camera valued at $180 vanished from the Snow Hut restaurant at the base of the Prospector Ski Lift last week while its owner was having lunch. The camera was owned by Liv Aarum. Nice Work Joy Rec. Dept. Supervisor Joy Rasmussen gets this week's good citizen award for bravery and valour through her efforts to make Park City a safer and more secure place to live and work. On March 2, Rasmussen entered the underground parking garage at the Park City Ski Area and noticed two individuals syphoning gas from another vehicle. She told them to cease their illegal activities and when they refused she ran up and grabbed their gas cap. She later made a full report of the incident to local authorities with vehicle descriptions and license plate numbers. If more people were as consciencious as Joy we'd have less crime in Park City. Snowflower Burglary Listed A TV and stereo cassettes valued in excess of $450 were stolen from a Snowflower condo unit sometime in February. The unit and stolen items were the property of Fred Sada. Another Soap Opera Kay Fisher of Provo, Utah advised authorities of the theft of her wallet Feb. 27. Fisher laid the billfold down while doing laundry at the Holiday Village launderette. When she went to retrieve her property it was gone. The wallet contained $100 in cash. Condo Break -In Reported Sometime between Feb. 20 anf 23 over $1,000 in camera and ski equipment disappeared from a Tempetation condo. The equipment belonged to Denny Nelson. Wallet Returned Sans $300 Dr. William Young of Florida walked out of a Resort Plaza restaurant March 1 leaving behind his jacket with his wallet in one of the pockets. When Dr. Young returned for the coat the wallet was gone. It was later turned in to the ticket office but $300 was missing. Garbage Problem Draws Warning Dean Boyle summoned authorities Feb. 28 with a complaint that his neighbors were being unruly and irresponsible with their garbage. Apparently the neighbors rarely retrieve their cans after trash collection on Wednesday. They merely left them at curbside, making daily trips from the house to discard refuse. Unable to locate the violators, the investigating officer left a note on their vehicle. The note advised the neighbors it is illegal to leave refuse at curbside and warned of forthcoming citation if the practice was not halted. |
