Show . v i v y ' I k I - J : " ' PCHS Forensic Takes Region The Park City High School Forensic Team took first place in the Region 11 Forensics Meet on March 5, 1982, hosted by Rowland Hall-St. Mark's. In addition, all of the members of the team rated high enough in their individual indivi-dual classifications to qualify for the State Meet in Cedar City at Southern Utah State College on March 19 and 20. In the field of debate, Denise White and Wade Wallin (the only team in the tournament to go undefeated) undefeat-ed) took first place and got a rating of Superior. In the same category, Chris Elkins and Robbie Smith took 3rd, with a rating of Excellent. Of the five students entered in the category of Legislative Forum. Michael Lindskov and Ed Callan took 1st and 2nd with Superior ratings, and Bill Simmons, Denise Parent, and Jim Ludlow, took 8th, 10th, and 15th, respectively, with excellent ratings. In the field of Oratory, Wade Wallin received 3rd place and a superior rating. All six students entered in the Impromptu Speaking category received high rat ings, with two tying for first place, Amy Finegan and Wade Wallin. Dan Nestel took 5th place, and Robbie Smith followed in 7th. All four students got Superior ratings. Kim Koch and Heidi Burnett received Excellent Ex-cellent ratings. In Extemporaneous Speaking, Speak-ing, Chris Elkins took 5th place, with an excellent rating, followed by Denise White in 6th, rated Superior, Robbie Smith in 7th, Kim Koch in 9th and Dan Nestel in 10th, all with excellent ratings. |
