Show TRAINS COLLIDE IU LOCAL YARD A passenger train on the Oregon Short Line going north .collided with; a string of freight cars being pushed by the Bwltch engine iu the yards near the corner of Wall avenue and Twenty-first street at about 5:45 last night and a number of passengers were slightly Injured. No one, however, Kiistalned auy Injuries of a uerlous nature and all were able to continue toward their various destinations. The lnjined -were: Mlas Alice Charles of Ijogan, Miss Norma Hansen, of Colllngstou. Harry Tlngey, of Salt Lake City. I Mrs. A. M, Oranor. of Garland. I Mrs. T. E. Roberts, of Logan. 1 All of these persons were In one of the now 6teel coaches, lately put Into service on the Harrlmau lines. Their Injuries consist of bruises tine to being be-ing thrown forward against scats when tho train came to the sudden stop. No bones were broken and none of the brulnes are of a dangerous danger-ous character. Vory little damage was done to tho trains, although one of the box cars waa derailed by tho passenger pas-senger locomotive. The cause of tlie two trains being on tho same track Is heng Investigated by the railroad of-flclals. |
