I In his early life he took part In j Shakespeare's plays, but his favorite ones were "Rip Yun Winkle" and '"Monte Crlsto." He came to Salt Lake seventeen years ago and for several years played In the old Lyceum Ly-ceum theater. Mr. Breyer was married after coming com-ing to this country, ami unJer his teaching his wife, Mrs. Nellie Drury Breyer. also became well-known In theatrical circles. She will be remembered re-membered by residents of Salt Iake at, a member of the Utalrja Stock ix)mJiny. which played where the Shubert theater now stands. She died five years ago. About twelve years ago Mr. Breyer bad a severe attack of pneumonia and had been In poor health from that tune. His mind, however, remained clear and his memory good, and he had spent the last ten years In read-lug read-lug and study. After the death of bis wife he had resided with his daughter, Mrs. G. C. Calvert of this city. Six children survive Mrs Owen Davis, wife of the theatrical author by that nnme; William Breyer, living in New York; J. S. Breyer of Atlanta. Atlan-ta. Ga.; Mrs. Andrew Arnoldus and Miss Nellie Breyer of Ivell, Wyo., j and Mrs. G. C. Calvert, who Is the wife of G. C. Calvert, a musician of ' this city. Funeral arrangements have not been j made.
