' GETS MIIMCT The Utah Construction company has been awarded a big contract on the San Pedro route for the construction construc-tion of thirty miles of "rebuild" being be-ing a portion of the 120 miles of the Meadow alley roadway that wa3 washed out last year by high water: W. H. Wattls, vice president and rrneral manager of the Utah Con-f-tructlon company tstated last evening even-ing that work on the contract would bo commenced at once. Tho portion of rebuild awarded to the company extends from ths Callente to Lelth, a distance of thirty miles. The job will Include tight tunnels and most of the work will be heavy as the line Is to be changed for a distance of nearly 120 miles, raising tbo same about fifteen, feet above the present level where danger from hlsh water will bo reduced to the minimum. mini-mum. Between two and threo thousand men will be employeJ on the Job as the work will be rushed from the start. It Is expected that rhe entire work will be completed by March first. Each of the tuuncls will need a gang of at least a hundred and tho others will be distributed along the line to the best advantage.
