Ida., to Ogden and sleeping together after arriving here. Antone stated, though, that when be examined his purse, Sunday afternoon, ho discovered that he was short a $20 bill. He immediately immed-iately came to the conclusion that his friend Ronan had taken the money from his pockot while he slept, and he had his friend arrested. After hearing the stories of the two men. the court concluded that there was no reason to believe the defendant gulliy. and he was ordered discharged. Ronan said he had money, mon-ey, and as proof he deposited about $150 with the desk sergeant when placed In jail. Ida Brown and Susie Jones failed to appear and answer the charge of vagrancy and their bail In the sura of $10 each was forfeited. Joseph Kuhn, who was arraigned yesterday for vagrancy, the case being be-ing set for trial this morning, failed to make his appearance and his ball of $5 was forfeited. |
