Show LARGE INCREASE M LICENSE TAX Salt Lake. Aug. 2. License tax col. lections (or the first seven months of 1010 show an increase of $51,S27,"i2' or 24.7 per cent over collections for the corresponding period of last year. The collections for the 6even months ending July 31, 1910, were $262,324,. 7J, as afeftlDSt only $210,297.21 collected collect-ed for the corresponding months of last jear, according to figures compiled com-piled by License Collector Frank B. Kimball. Monday. The net collections for the first ?even months of this year, are dig. trlbuted as follows: Liquor $16t.. M7.1S; merchants. $33,150.80; miscellaneous, miscel-laneous, $57,3rG,7 5. For the corre I spondlng period of lar.t jear the collections col-lections were as follows: Liquor, I $130,591.88; merchants. $13,509.13; miscellaneous, J46.296.1S. The -biggest gain Is shown In liquor liq-uor license tax collections, $30.22.".- 50, or 27.7 per cent. Miscellaneous licenses were second with a gain of f 11.000,57, or 23.9 per cent, and mer-chants' mer-chants' license colloctlona third, wltrj a gain of $1,841.03. or 13.9 per cen:. The refunds for this year ko fa-anount fa-anount to only $1,179,03, as compare 1 to $2,13125 for the first seven months of last year. |
