Edwin T. Mc-Knight, Mc-Knight, president of the senate, insisted insist-ed the motion be considered in the regular order next Monday. The B n-ators n-ators who had introduced the motion thereupon withdrew it, on the ground j that it would be imposible for the sen-ale sen-ale to act before Mr. DeValera left Boston. President McKnight said tonight he had asked that action on DeValera be postponed because he desired that senators sen-ators be given an opportunity to inform in-form themselves as to whether the spnate was to receive DeValera as the official head of a recognized government govern-ment "So far as I have bcn able to learn." he said, "Mr. DeValera has not b BD recognized by the officials at Wash- I inglon a representing with authoritv , the people of Ireland.
