Show Arizona Raising Fund for Memorial For State Heroes PHOENIX, Ariz., June 27-The memory mem-ory of Lieutenant Frank Luke, American Amer-ican ace, and seventy other men from Maricopa county, Arizona, who lost their lives in the war will be honored here Sunday at a Frank Luke air memorial me-morial tournament The funds raised by the tournament will be used to erect i a permanent memorial to tho men which will probably take the form of an aviation field day. A program consisting of stunt and formation fljing by army airplanes, motor car racing, addresses and music by the Tenth cavalry band, brought here from Fort Huachua, Arizona, for the purpose will be given at the memorial me-morial tournament. An effort to have Captain Eddie V. Rickenbacher, American Amer-ican ace, attend the tournament failed at the last moment, the captain wiring he found it impossible to attend. Captain Cap-tain Kickenbacher's place on the program pro-gram will be taken by Lieutenant O. P. Johnson,. |
