Show I CHICAGO GRAIN : v- , CHICAGO, June 28 - Actual signing of the peace treaty failed outright today to-day to influenco the corn market. Instead, In-stead, prices today were ruled by the necessity of month end liquidation on the part of holders of July contracts. This liquidation had a depressing ef-Jfcct ef-Jfcct on the market as a whole, the treaty signing having been anticipated long before hand. Opening prices, which varied from off to V4 cent advance, ad-vance, with September 1.7634 to 1.7574 and December 1.53 to 1 53?4 . were followed by a slight general upturu and then by a setback all around to well below yesterday's tinish. Oats were dull and weak with corn After opening unchanged to Ji lower, including September at 68"a to 69. the market hardened a trifle, and then turned sharply downgrade Proisions held steady. Higher quotations quo-tations on hogs, together with assertions asser-tions that export trade would be en larged were against any decline. In the last part of the session, rallies took place as a result of covering by I shorts The market closed unsettled, 8 cent net lower, to : cent advance, v.ith September 1.75 to 175 and December l.So to 1.53.
